Terms of service - Monthly magazine

Delivery

We use the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) to deliver the magazines. The magazine is mailed at the beginning of each month. If you subscribed before the 25th day of the month, your first magazine will arrive the next month.

For example: If you subscribed to American Essence from Jan 26th to Feb 25th, your first copy will be the March issue.

Please allow up to 14 days for your first magazine to arrive after our monthly mailing.

Payment

Subscribers will automatically be charged in advance based on their subscription plan.

All subscriptions with up-to-date payment methods will renew automatically. Payment is due and will be charged at the beginning of each billing cycle unless canceled.

One-time Purchases

One-time purchases such as gift subscriptions cannot be canceled or refunded.

Cancellation

Subscriptions can be canceled at any time. Cancellation requests must be received prior to the start of the next billing cycle. If the cancellation request is not received prior to the beginning of the next billing cycle, the subscriber will be charged for that next billing cycle and the cancellation will be effective at the end of that billing cycle.

In most scenarios, the subscription is canceled at the end of the billing cycle. Unless you request to cancel immediately, service and products will continue to deliver until the end of billing cycle. Once you cancel a subscription, you won't be charged for future subscription payments. Past subscription payments will not be refunded.

Epoch Times does not accept notifications of cancellations by mail, email, chat or by any other means other than calling Customer Service Hotline 1-833-699-1888 from Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm EST or Saturdays from 10am to 3pm EST. (A separate policy is applied to Colorado, Delaware, Vermont, Maine, New York, and the District of Columbia.)1 

All payments are non-refundable. The Epoch Times reserves the right of final interpretation2. For special cases, a prorated payment may be issued after review.

Refunds

No refunds will be issued on any of our products. In the event of a cancellation, no future payments will be charged, but we will not refund a prorated amount of the subscription for the days between the cancelation and the end of the current billing cycle. In the rare event that we do offer a refund, it is completely at our discretion and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Missing magazines or other delivery issues will not affect the cancellation terms. However, The Epoch Times grants subscription extensions for all missing products.

Purchased materials will continue to be delivered throughout the remainder of the current subscription, unless a request is made to stop receiving the products.

Customer Service

Any phone communications between you and The Epoch Times staff may be recorded for training purposes.

Any subsequent communication between you and The Epoch Times staff in any form may be used for training purposes.

By providing your email and phone number, you have automatically opted-in to our marketing and customer service emails and texts. You can opt-out of these notifications at any time.

We reserve the right to make changes to our print and digital products at any time.

 

Appendix

  1. Residents of California, Colorado, Delaware, Vermont, Maine, New York and the District of Columbia may cancel HERE.
  2. Issues are reviewed case by case, leaving it to The Epoch Times interpretation.
