Account Management: Update Email, Change Password, and More

Change or Reset Your Password

Note: If you use your Google or Apple account credentials to access your Epoch Times account, you can change your password through Google or Apple. Then log in to your Epoch Times account using your new login credentials. Select the Continue with Google/Apple login option moving forward.

Reset Your Password

To reset your password, enter the email address associated with your Epoch Times account in the Epoch Times login window and take the following steps:

  1. Select “Forgot your password?”
  2. Check your email inbox for the password reset email. Note: If you do not see the reset email come through in a few minutes, check your junk/spam folders.
  3. Follow the instructions in the email.
  • If you cannot locate a password reset email in your inbox, check your Spam or Junk folder. If you use Gmail, check your Promotions folder.
  • If you are still unable to find your password reset email, call or chat with Customer Service for assistance

Change Your Password

To change your Epoch Times account password, take the following steps:

  1. Log in to your Epoch Times account.
  2. If you are not directed to your account page, click on your name in the top right hand corner of the home page.
  3. Under the Profile section of your Account page, select Edit (next to Password).
  4. Enter your new password, confirm your new password.
  5. Select “SAVE”

Once you change your password, you will be logged out and will need to log in using the new password.

Change Your Email Address

You can change the email address associated with your Epoch Times account in the profile section.

  1. Log in to your Epoch Times account.
  2. Click on your name in the top right-hand corner of the page if you are not redirected to your Account page directly.
  3. In the Profile section of your Account page, select Edit (next to Email).
  4. Enter your new email, and a verification link will be sent to that inbox.

If you cannot change your email address after following these steps, please contact Customer Service.

Email Verification

  1. Log in to your Epoch Times account.
  2. Click on your name in the top right-hand corner of the page if you are not redirected to your Account page directly.
  3. Click "Verify my account" to verify your email.
  4. Click "Verify email address" in the email we sent you to complete verification process.

If verification is successful, you will see a green icon (green_check_mark.png) next to your email address.

Activate the Full Digital Access feature of your print subscription

As a Print Subscriber, you can activate the Full Digital Access feature of your subscription by connecting your Print Subscription to TheEpochTimes.com. 

  • If you signed up for your Print Paper subscription online, you can automatically access the Digital Access feature of your subscription by using the login information you provided during initial sign up.
  • If you signed up for your Print subscription through the mail, you can activate the Digital Access portion of your subscription by contacting Customer Service for assistance.

Change display name for posting comments

  1. Log in to your Epoch Times account.
  2. If you are not directed to your account page, click on your name in the top right hand corner of the home page.
  3. Navigate to the “Account” section of your account.
  4. In the Account section of your Account page, select the blue Edit button in the upper right corner.
  5. Your display name will be whatever you enter into the "First Name" and "Last Name" fields. You can enter a space for the "Last Name" field if you'd prefer it to be blank.
  6. After changing your display name, click "Save."

Duplicate Subscription

If you are receiving duplicate copies, it is possible that you have more than one active account. If you want to keep only one subscription account, please call our Customer Service Hotline 1-833-699-1888 or send a support request HERE.

Please include your subscription ID or the latest invoice number of both accounts and indicate which account you would like to retain. We will merge the duplicate account to the active one and extend service accordingly.

How to refer people to The Epoch Times

It is easy introduce The Epoch Times to your friends and family with our gift subscription program, online Epoch Shop, and our referral program.

Gift Subscription

You can buy purchase a gift subscription to The Epoch Times by clicking HERE or logging into your account and navigating to the left-hand panel where it says “Gift Newspaper.”

Epoch Shop

You can introduce The Epoch Times by sending an infographic poster, an Epoch Times magazine, or 10 copies of the newspaper. Just visit EpochShop.com.

Referral Program

Get rewards by referring The Epoch Times to your friends and family.

Print Referral

If you have a print newspaper subscription, you can make a print referral. If your friends subscribe via your referral invitation email, you will receive 2 free months on your subscription.

  1. Log in to your Epoch Times account.
  2. If you are not directed to your account page, click on your name in the top right hand corner of the home page.
  3. Navigate to “Print Referral” section.
  4. Enter your friends’ email.
  5. Click “Send Invite.”

Digital Referral

If you have a print newspaper subscription or a digital only subscription, you can invite your friends to subscribe to The Epoch Times Digital Subscription and earn rewards. You get 20 reward points ($2 value) for every friend who registers through your shared link.

  1. Log in to your Epoch Times account.
  2. If you are not directed to your account page, click on your name in the top right hand corner of the home page.
  3. Navigate to “Invite Friends & Get Rewards” section.
  4. Enter your friend’s email.
  5. Click “Share” to send the invitation.

How do I request free sample papers for friends?

To send free newspapers to your friends, you need to have either a regular print subscription or our $1 trial print subscription. You may submit the request online via your Epoch Times account:

  1. Log in to your Epoch Times account.
  2. If you are not directed to your account page, click on your name in the top right hand corner of the home page.
  3. Navigate to the “Request Free Papers” section.
  4. Enter your friend's information.
  5. You can check your past requests by clicking the “See Requested Papers” blue button.

What can I do if I forgot the email I used to subscribe?

Please contact Customer Service for assistance.

Can I request a different gift from the original one included in my $1 trial subscription?

Unfortunately, the gift included in your $1 trial subscription cannot be changed.
